Quitting Caffeine? Asia Is Swapping Coffee for Tea — Here’s Your Ladder

Across Asia-Pacific, tea is now growing faster than coffee — much of it drinkers deliberately stepping down from all-day caffeine. Cold turkey fails; a ladder works.

Rung 1: swap the afternoon coffee

Keep the morning brew. Replace the 3 pm coffee with a bold Himalayan Kadak — still lifted, roughly half the caffeine, none of the 6 pm jitters.

Rung 2: make the morning cup tea

A week later, move the morning to Darjeeling. Enough lift to feel real, gentle enough that the afternoon dip shrinks.

Rung 3: caffeine-free after noon

Finish the ladder: afternoons go to Blue Pea or Daily Detox, evenings to the sleep shelf. Most people report steadier energy within two weeks.

Quick facts
• Black tea has roughly a third to half the caffeine of coffee per cup.
• Gradual step-downs beat cold turkey for avoiding withdrawal headaches.
• Herbal and flower teas are naturally caffeine-free.

Honesty box: tea is one lever of a good routine, not the whole machine. If a symptom persists, please see a doctor — not a tea shop.
